At Chiles High School, our athletic program is built on the belief that competition is a powerful classroom. We are dedicated to cultivating a tradition of excellence where student-athletes develop essential life skills—like discipline, leadership, resilience, and teamwork—that extend far beyond the game. Participation Fees
Participation Fees for Home Education and Private School Students
In accordance with Leon County Schools Board Policy 2431, eligible home education and private school students who choose to participate in a Leon County Schools athletic team or performing arts program are required to pay the applicable participation fee for each sport and/or activity in which they participate.
The participation fee shall be the greater of:
- $400.00 per sport and/or activity, or
- The participation fee established for enrolled Leon County Schools students participating in that same sport or activity.
Only one participation fee will be assessed per sport or activity. Students will not be charged both amounts.
All participation fees are paid directly to the school where the student participates.
